Endz are a new way to secure weak branches and stem unions by combining several related disciplines into one great product.
Endz uses the same idea as field repair kits for skidder cables to terminate EHS cable. Using a specially designed hard coat annodized aluminum barrel and proprietary end cap, Endz rely on the time tested wedge design to terminate cables and guy wires. Designed for use with seven strand EHS cable only, Endz eliminates the need for preform splices, eyebolts, and thimbles and their potential breakage. This means no more weak links in your cabling system. The strength of your cable isn't dependent on the preform splice, restoring your work to the load rating of whichever size EHS cable your are using. Endz currently are available for 5/16" EHS cable only, with 1/4" and 3/8" coming soon.
Endz are simple to install and actually take much less time than eyebolts and splices. No special tools are required for installation. Only a standard Havens grip, ratchet strap or come along for tensioning and drill are needed.
Endz have been tested for holding strength on a Lucker Test Machine with a Dillon Load Cell and have achieved 100% tensile strength! This further ensures the holding strength of your work for your clients!

Endz leave no sharp exposed strands, making them climber friendly. A unique, patent pending geometry uses a low friction angle to positively seat the end cap so it can't be pushed back out once installed.
